Cheeky wipes/reusable wipes

Going to be doing disposable nappies but want to use reusable wipes. Are cheeky the go to ones and how many do I need what kind of set up? Think will use water wipes out the house for ease.

That’s interesting @lochmaree which brands do you use? I’ve found flat old school nappies look like they’ll be better than muslins!

we've got cheeky wipes some cotton and some bamboo. maybe a couple other random in there too but can't remember which. MIL gets the hotel cloths from Ebay.

We got the premium ones from the nappylady one side terry one side soft fleece

Agree with PPs that they clean bums so much better than disposable wipes (the one time I tried to clean up a poo with disposable wipes still haunts me 😂). But one issue we found was that the cheeky wipes leave the bottom wetter than a disposable wipes. Interested to hear how others dried baby after using them? (We tended to use hairdryer at home which baby loved but I can't imagine that's what most people do!)

We use a muslin to dry, we've got so many there's always plenty to hand!

I used Cheeky Wipes with both DC. DD1 is now using them again when she has her period. Certainly a good buy!

I’m still confused as to which are the better/softest ones!

I had the cotton ones when DS was a baby- still used daily for cleaning 14 years later! Money well spent!

(To the poster who asked how you dry them- I'd just use a dry wipe and dab dry! But thanks for the laugh at the mental image of someone pointing a hair dryer at their baby's butt!)

Do people use them as directed in the box damp waiting, or just use a bowl of warm water when you need them or will they be too wet?

I used them as directed when baby was young as easily went through the box of 25 within a 2-3 days (I found they stay fresh for that time). When older with fewer nappy changes, I tended to still make up a box but would only put in as many wipes as I'd need for a couple of days rather than the full 25.

I bought cheeky wipes in 2018 and they were great, i have heard that the quality has changed but i havn't used the new ones so can't comment. When i needed more i cut up an older towel and hemmed them. They've lasted the longest.

When my daughter was little I would make up the box as directed as you’d get through them so fast, but now she’s older we tend to just wet a wipe under a tap as we go.

I cut up a load of fleece, different colours for him and face
