I want to know, why do they? What do they think the riots are achieving besides destruction and more dividing? What is their reasoning if they even have one? Because to me it just seems like an excuse for people who have no hobbies to go out and cause mayhem

Yes, someone I used to work with. She used to be a reasonable person then was influenced by the far-right on Twitter during covid and has become more and more angry, unreasonable, and frankly unpleasant since.

They think they can anyone who is not white to leave. As in, you’ll be going home. It’s what they say and think

No. And I fail to see what this rioting is supposed to achieve anyway.
Ok, it's not a Tory government any more but this behaviour gives rise to 'well, if anything IS given out, you just wreck it, therefore we're not giving any more money to the area.'
Particularly annoying and upsetting as I don't even think these people are local to the areas they're rioting in, it's just rent-a-mob?

I don't know anyone who does but I've now read hundreds of comments on social media from people who support them. They all say the sane kind of things: they're not far right, they've just had enough, the government needs to stop illegal immigration then the riots will stop, British homeless people and veterans are on the streets while illegal immigrants get housed and get benefits, Islam isn't compatible with life in Britain, country is letting anyone in, rapists, murderers,child abusers, their children aren't safe etc etc etc. A lot of fear and anger but to me it all seems to be based on lies and misinformation.
