If you have a hormonal IUD, do you track your cycle?

I've had one for the past couple of years, and one of the side effects is that my periods have pretty much disappeared entirely.

Although I'm not actively bleeding, I do have some symptoms at times that seem pre-menstrual; my boobs get a bit swollen, and there are times when I feel very over-emotional.

Weirdly, it'd be reassuring to know in those moments that it's hormonal and cycle-related rather than life just being horrendous!

There seems to be a lot of conflicting info online about how the hormonal coil impacts your cycle, so I wondered what others do?

Do you keep track of when your period 'might' be, or do you just go with the flow (no pun intended!)?

No. I used to but eventually saw no point. I get occasional hints about my cycle but really, end of bleeding is one of the best things about IUDs, so why not forget all about it!?

Not much to track.

@JasmineTea11 I agree!

I simply found myself up at midnight last night in floods of tears – I've got a lot going on at the moment so it may well just be a perfectly natural response to life, but wow, the intensity of it...

It would have been really helpful to be able to say to myself: "and you're at that point in your cycle, so it's feeling worse right now"!
