Omelette maker anything eggy

Has anyone got a omelette maker or an excellent pan.

I can make them with my normal pan but my 13 year old can't, she can't get them to hold shape and they are more like scrambled.

Any recommendations?

Do you heat on the hob for a few minutes and then grill afterwards for another few? This works for me rather than just pan. Also, too many extra ingredients stop it sticking together

Ninja frying pan.
Best I've ever had.
Worth every penny.

Thanks. We don't have a working grill (or oven for that matter) we have a couple of different Ninjas which we love.

Haven't got the ninja pans but they look great, I will add all of them to my wish list. Maybe start with buying on as a smaller better pan will be easier for DD.

I use quite a small pan frying pan so the egg mixture fills it. And I make sure the bottom is well cooked before folding it out of the pan. The top is folded into the middle as it comes out of the pan so you only need to cook one side. No flipping so less opportunity to break it up.

You probably know all that. I just see how or why it would fall apart....

Electric omelette maker, £10 or so from Aldi/Lidl, very easy to use.

I use the crepe pan

I think a small pan is probably the answer. I've always used a large pan and haven't had a problem but trying to teach DD to do it isn't working.

That's similar to what I've been looking at. Is it easy to clean?

Yes to an electric one! They come out so tall and fluffy - it’s an eggy wonder!
