A budget perfume that smells like beach, coconut and sun lotion

I recently bought M&S - White Coconut but it has little longevity.

Have you tried B&BW - Waikiki Beach Coconut?

Bronze Gooddess, Nivea Sun, Summer Sun, Victoria Secret Coconut Passion, and Bath and Bodyworks ones

I loved bronze goddess and thought summer Sun was an exact dupe. I couldn't tell the difference! But I found them still overwhelmingly 'perfumey'. Great summer perfume though!!

Nivea sun was lovely and had that suntan lotion smell to it

Victoria's Secret I didn't think was that coconutty but I may have gone nose blind by then!!

Bath and Bodywork's I thought was too floral

My revelation came with Hawaiian Tropic! This was exactly as you describe.... coconut, beach and suntan lotion but without that 'perfume' element.

I ended up getting the Golden Paradise as it had a real pineapple scent to it too. Almost like a pina colada! £12 and I've already had multiple people tell me I smell like summer. I don't expect it to be long lasting for the money but it smells lovely and I feel like I'm on a beach when I get a whiff

The Coco Magic is probably more as you describe as it isn't so pineapple-y

I was at a very posh wedding recently and a woman I was talking to smelled amazing, it turned out she was wearing an Eden perfume (she very shyly told me...).

I loved Tropical Punch by Escada. It was fruity rather than coconut, but the smell was euphoric.

100% the best sun cream smell by far. I have the shower gel and moisturiser and get compliments on it all the time.

I do not recommend Jil Sander's Sun.. wearing it now after an urge to buy bc everyone raves about it..it's gross and smells of bug spray.

Hawaiian Tropic Golden Paradise Body Mist

Though it's expensive I second Laura Mercier Almond Coconut. I applied this before 7 this morning and can still smell it now. I've never been able to detect the almond note, it's a creamy coconut to me. One thing, they recently changed the packaging, and, I strongly suspect, the formulation too. However you can still get the older version on eBay (in the tall slim rectangular bottle).

Comptoir Sud Pacifique's Vanille Coco is another creamy coconut with good longevity, perhaps slightly sweeter than the Laura Mercier.

I also love Estee Lauder Bronze Godess but don't detect much coconut; it's mire citrussy to my nose.

Similarly although lots have suggested the Nivea perfume I've found it goes 'off' very quickly and becomes unpleasantly synthetic on my skin.

I wear perfume most days and my preferred is Dior. DH doesn't really comment, apart from yesterday when he told me I smelt nice. I was wearing a bloody impulse spray I'd bought from the supermarket, for the car to use in this weather after a long walk. Ffs 🤣

White company have a lovely scent called Seychelles and Aldi often do rip off products of it such as hand and body lotion called 'paradise'

Has anyone tried Primark's PS Sandy Beach perfume?

Look on Etsy. A number of people sell handmade perfumes and oils along these lines.

I find a bit of added jasmine gives it that old fashioned tan oil scent.

Perfume Parlour do a dupe of Bronze Goddess called Sulphur which has positive reviews.

My little row of summer fragrances (who am I kidding, I don’t have seasonal scents!) The coconut one was from Amazon but I’m not seeing it on there currently. The So ones were an Amazon pack of 3, the other one is pink grapefruit. I use them very liberally on skin, clothes, hair. You are meant to re-spray throughout the day, I don’t but people tell me I smell nice throughout.

I find using a leave in coconut scented conditioner is one of the best ways of maintaining the scent, although I appreciate that’s not possible if you don’t have wildly curly hair like me. Tresemme is one that smells of coconut, ime. As a pp mentioned, body butter is probably very effective.

I tried all the mists at Superdrug and did not like them. Also did not like Coconut Passion by Victoria's Secret.

I did, however, find a lovely scent at Primark. It's called Maldives Sunset.

Summer perfumes don't usually have longevity as they have to be light so they aren't over powering in the sun.
