Used our doctors surgery online system this morning.
Every other time I've used it I've been offered a telephone consult, which suits me fine.

I've just got a call from the surgery saying doctor wants to see me at 3.45.

Trying not to panic now.

It's so rare to get a face to face here so now my mind is going into overdrive.

I have terrible health anxiety at the best of times but now it's gone into overdrive

I’ve been on the two week pathway twice.

Once was a private dentist Tuesday, referred me immediately. I was seen by NHS that Friday and cleared.

Previously on the 2 week pathway I was having an MRI and other tests within those 2 weeks, but not diagnosed within those 2 weeks. I was later diagnosed but the actual diagnosis (of cancer) came after the 2 weeks.

I’ve been on the two-week pathway twice. Once for possible ovarian cancer and once for possible bowel cancer. I had neither. So it isn’t always bad news.

Oh OP, try not to worry. There are collections of symptoms that trigger this, the doctor is being thorough and ruling things out.

I'm currently on my second two week wait since November. My area (I'm in London) isn't that quick, unfortunately.

Op what symptoms did you have?

Sunshineonararainydayyy · 31/07/2024 21:36

I had 2week pathway for a mole, it was within that timeframe and a relief to find out nothing sinister. Good luck @drivinmecrazy hopefully it’s just the NHS being efficient and checking you out properly.

@drivinmecrazy hopefully some of these success stories will ease your worries a little x
