To build their castle at the end of the garden.

Mumdiva99 · 27/07/2024 08:24

'Because that's our job. We collect the teeth and leave a coin.'
If he believes (or pretends to) he gets the coin. To much being rational and he's too old for it!!
It's fun nonsense. No need to make sense. (BTW....mine were about 10 when we agreed to just hand the cash over before bed....they still got their £1, but I didn't have to creep in and mess about at night).

Although I love his inquisitiveness. My kind of child!!

Bramblecrumble22 · 27/07/2024 08:24

No, she's only lost one tooth, not too old. Been very rational and questioning things from the beginning.

My kids had this book from new. It's interactive with little envelopes and notes in it. Obvs don't buy used as chance things could be missing.
I think I remember in the book (youngest is 16) the tooth fairy built a throne?

That’s not a child’s writing who is tooth fairy age anyway !!

Looks just like my 6yo's writing who has lost 2 teeth so is at 'tooth fairy age'.

When my son asked what the tooth fairy did with the teeth I said they use them as bricks to build a fairy castle. The tooth fairy is only tiny.

Thank you, I am proud of my child's handwriting, very unlike my dyslexic scrawl.

Yes, I've told her about the castle, I think she's written to either hear first hand or try and work out if the tooth fairy is real.

I didn't get that question but I did get "how did she get in the house?" "If she's so tiny, how did she manage to carry the pound coin?" "Why is there money on the table? Is it because you put the coin under my pillow?" It was like the Spanish bloody inquisition! I'm not sure I can withstand this line of questioning for the rest of his teeth!!

Bramblecrumble22 · 27/07/2024 08:47

Haha winter Kate. That's great. I have time to plan a cute response. She loves the idea of tooth fairy and has not quized me for the truth. Happy to play make-believe, She put in under her pillow without a tooth. Also, she actually lost 2 teeth a few months back, not one, now she has about 6 wobbly ones so is hopeful.
