Cheese

So I bought a block of Double Gloucester this week. Got it home and it smelt awful, like a farm which is why I don’t like certain cheeses.

Is this it now? Has my go to cheese been strengthened? I don’t really like cheese and go for the mildest one, but this one smelt so strong, like a farm and tasted like one! I also wondered if it was the wrong one in a diff package.

🙃🙃

I've not eaten a farm so I can't comment on that bit, but I find Double Glouster very mild.

Was it a wrapped product from a supermarket? If so could the pakage have been punctured and so let the cheese ferment?

Haha, I’ve never eaten a farm either, but do you know that smell? That’s what it smelt like.

yeah, it’s supermarket packaged, but upon inspection it didn’t look to have been opened prior. And it’s in date.

I know what you mean, ALL goats cheese smells like that to me !!

I can't suggest anything as I like cheddar etc & blue cheese etc, I don't look for very mild cheese

@KatiesMumWoof I’m going to buy some from Aldi, and if it smells or tastes the same, I I’ll have to give up the double Gloucester. Haha
