Has anyone come across this poor girl's story? 11 years old, killed by a punch from her adult half brother. Texts from him suggest this was not a pleasant life for the people in this house

CPS has decided not to go ahead with a case for manslaughter. How can this be. Why are we susorised there is so much violence against women and girls. It's heartbreaking.

How is he not being prosecuted? Those texts are an admission of what he's done. The CPS are a joke.
And then you've got his mum clearly protecting him.

TheTwirlyPoos · 27/07/2024 08:33

That's what I don't get. How can he be avoiding punishment.

It's horrible. What on Earth was going on in that household? I'm not sure what a man has to do to actually be prosecuted any more.

TheTwirlyPoos · 27/07/2024 09:36

'do not tell, do not disclose'

It's horrifying.

This is disgusting, the coroner said she was unlawfully killed.

But the. All this talk about ‘he didn’t mean to inflict so much damage’. A grown man punching a child is always intended to inflict severe damage.

and the family want to be ashamed of themselves. I don’t give a Shit about religion or culture. They helped try to cover it up so he didn’t get the blame.

ginasevern · 27/07/2024 09:51

It appears (from what I've read) that the girl had an underlying condition that predisposed her to a brain bleed. Therefore, they cannot categorically say that it was her brother's punch that killed her. So, they cannot bring a manslaughter charge. However, he bashed down a bathroom door and physically assaulted her. He is 22 and she was 11. Why in the name of god is he not, at the very least, being charged with grievous bodily harm or common assault, or something? Her siblings were witnesses to the assault (they are aged around 7 years old) but the family is refusing to allow them to speak to the police. Is this even legal? There is so much wrong with this case.

Charlieiscool · 27/07/2024 10:01

If the family are not cooperating with the police there may be more to it. Are they sure about who did this?

He text his girlfriend and told her.

Charlieiscool · 27/07/2024 10:11

So the family simply don’t want him to face justice? The poor little girl. Maybe he terrorises all of them.

Justrolledmyeyesoutloud · 27/07/2024 10:13

Wow. Just as you think you have it heard it all. That poor darling girl.

There was a thread about this a couple of days ago, you might find it on a search if you want to read some more views

The police wanted to interview the other younger children. The family refused. The police should have got a bit tougher with them but they don't want upset certain communities do they 😡

JSMill · 27/07/2024 10:59

Why can't he be prosecuted for assault? Why are the police so weak against people like this?

TonTonMacoute · 27/07/2024 11:02

So, at the beginning of the week we have a senior female police officer warning that violence against women and girls is appallingly high and something must be done.

By Friday a 23 year old man who thinks is perfectly okay and normal to hit an 11 year old child can't be prosecuted.

Things aren't going to change unless the perpetrators are punished.

bubblesummerxx · 27/07/2024 11:05

I think his family are just as bad as him for trying to cover it up for him they all killed her in my eyes

PeapodRas · 27/07/2024 19:09

They should take the other kids into care - he's a grown adult, he doesn't even need to be around them.
