What would you recommend to try and lose belly weight.

I've bought the treadmill for stamina/cardio.

But would like to target my midriff also.

Any suggestions?

Use your treadmill to do HIIT workouts. My PT used to get me doing that for 10 mins at the end of every session and it was hard but worked really well and I'd feel totally buzzed afterwards.

  • Incline 1.5
  • Warm up walk for a few minutes, gradually walking faster
  • Turn it up to the max speed you can run at (not jogging, actually fast running so that it is really hard work, but not dangerously fast that you'll fall off!)
  • 30 secs running at really fast speed
  • Jump feet to the side of treadmill for 30 sec rest
  • Carefully return to running for another 30 secs
  • Repeat up to 10 times so that you do 10 x really fast running, with 10 x rest intervals
  • Cool down with 2 minutes walking, gradually reducing the speed to quite slow

You can build on it over the weeks by very gradually increasing the speed (like 0.1 of a km/hr) of the running every 4-6 weeks.

Put some really fast motivating music on while you do it!

Wow op well done for the weight loss so far, that’s really impressive.
Just getting on the treadmill is better for you than not, depending on your base level of fitness I’d recommend just getting on it for a brisk walk of 30 minutes every day, on a slight incline if it has that ability. Small habits - most people will spend 30 minutes a day either scrolling on their phones or watching telly and can spare the time to make a small change.
I find once I implemented small positive changes my mindset shifted and I actively wanted to eat better and look after myself more so whilst running/walking may not solely be responsible for toning your stomach, it is a good catalyst in making other small changes and building a better overall approach to your health/fitness/diet.
Just keep it consistent, 🤞🏾

hey, snap OP!! Ive lost just over 7st too!😁
also wishing I could get rid of my jiggly belly... sadly mine is a combination of menopause (my waist just generally got bigger) and loose skin which wont go without surgery.

I do alot of 'home alone' exercise. I run 3 times a week. I also have an exercise bike, rebounder and mini stepper which I also use several times a week. Just stick something on Netflix and away I go!
Then I do weight training and pilates a few times a week as well to help tone things up. It is frustrating though when you can feel the muscles but they are hidden under the wobble!LOL😂

Wow well done!

I'm considering surgery next year for the skin but want to lose about 20 more lbs and get much fitter first!
