Good quality clothing on a budget

I normally buy second hand. However, I am making an effort to have a capsule wardrobe with good quality items which stand the test of time.
Any recommendations?
Just read Less by Patrick Grant and can highly recommend. Completely changed my outlook on buying things.

You say second hand, but do you mean Vinted/eBay? If so, have a look for the best charity shops in your town and go often. Near me, the British Heart Foundation always seem to have good stuff.

I've never been lucky with charity shops but have had some absolute bargains from vinted eg Perfect condition Levi 501 for £15
It's knowing the brands to look for but you can use filters to choose eg Linen top, white shirt and choose the best quality for you
Honestly most of my wardrobe is from Vinted Much better quality than what's in the shops now.

Yeah it's normally vinted!
Just don't want to buy 'fast fashion' and clothes which wear out quickly or fade.

I buy a lot of clothes from second hand shops, as they contain a lot of good quality clothing where I live. I will buy only natural fiber items. I have been able to acquire pieces from Seasalt, M&S, Boden, Joules, and Jaeger for a few pounds each. I have self imposed a ban on buying any more clothes at the moment though, as I have more than enough, and have so far struggled to wear my lovely summer dresses, this year!
