It's awful. It vibrates the house.

DH has a CPAP machine which works wonders.

Can’t help with his half of the equation but Bose sleeping earbuds (play white noise throughout the night) no joke saved our relationship

OP- To add to my info re sleep apnoea and my husband having a machine now. His main concern was having to stay at a sleep study clinic overnight. He didnt at all. The testing machine was very small, we attached it at home and he slept with it on, then posted it back. Much easier than I expected! He did need to go to the respiratory clinic to measure him for the mask and collect the machine. He used to wake with a dry mouth, so asked for a humidified machine, which has also made a vast improvement. It did take him a few weeks to feel comfortable with the machine on, but it really is life and marriage saving!

My biggest issue now, is that I worse ear plugs for absolutely years. I'm still trying to wean myself off needing them!

The same way you would deal with a zombie... obliterate the brain.

Failing that, GP visit and a test for sleep apnoea.

My mum is going through the same with my dad. He is now sleeping on the sofa, but wont see a GP as he "can't help it" (is over 20 stone, so def weight related but wont face up to the reality of it).

I’ve been a snorer since having babies. Recently have solved the problem by buying an expensive pillow (Levitex) which keeps my spine in alignment, and pillows everywhere like when I was pregnant. One between my knees and one on each side to stop me rolling on to my back.

Wear silicon ear plugs, an eye mask that's wide that also covers the ears- works a treat. A few nudges through the night also helps.

These strips worked wonders for us, they dissolve in the back of the mouth. My husband's snoring was horrendous beforehand but now we both get good sleeps, I just hope they never discontinue them!

For me it wasn't so much the lack of sleep, but the frustration of having to listen to something like an elephant roaring all night. The main issue, however, was that he never saw it as his problem; it was my problem, because men are more important than women, and anything women are unhappy about is not to be taken seriously because they are lesser.

Funny now, that it's my house and he's looking for somewhere else to live so it is his problem.

Pillow over the head 😆

Oh so many times I've been tempted to do this🤭

Tell him he absolutely has to lose some weight, and be prepared to leave him if he won't.

Buy a decent bed, and turn the sitting-room into your bedroom. (I'm assuming you don't have a spare bedroom.)
