What do they gain? Fake Facebook posts advertising freebies.

Keep seeing posts for ‘free meat, from 12.00 tomorrow, till it runs out’. Includes photos of the meat, wrapped and ready to go.

And market place - so many new sheds advertised for £62. Why?

What do posters gain? Or is this something else?

I'd love to know. An eejit by us keeps advertising an E90k ampersand for free as its got a scratch and can't be sold, and people keep sharing it.
Also those photos of kids that are seemingly missing, but its obviously American or suchlike....those ones creep me out a bit.

Let’s hope someone comes along to help us both!

They're scams that if you click/comment on the post or share it the scammers can link back to your Facebook page and steal your details.

Same with the free carvery meals and free caravan stays. Theres usually thousands of comments with people saying oh I'd love this, my hamster just died etc. The barcode ones as well - I wonder how many people rock up to Harvester expecting 2 free meals!
