Wobbly teeth worries

DS6 has had some wobbly teeth for (what feels like) ages! He is a bit freaked out by them and won't really wobble them which is driving me a bit crazy. Now one of the adult teeth is coming up behind at the bottom. I'm a bit worried it will affect his teeth in the long run. Does anyone have any experience of this?

In my experience that’s how teeth work!

some wobble and come out before the new adult tooth, some baby teeth linger on for ages, even when lots of the next tooth is through.

it will sort itself out.

My eldest had 2 rows of teeth for ages, one sister called her baby shark. It sorted it's self out in the end..

Encourage him to wobble

It’s called a shark tooth. My son has one at the mo! Never heard of it before but after consulting with the class mums on what’s app it’s really common!!

The adult incisors are bigger than the baby teeth they are replacing so they can’t just take the place of the baby tooth. It is normal for them to erupt through on the tongue side of the arch and then as the child grows the tongue helps ease them into the correct position. However sometimes the baby tooth isn’t lost and then will need to be extracted

Thank you for all your replies. It makes me feel less worried about it!

@RobinHumphries I am encouraging it. He will do it for a couple of seconds and that's it! The one with the tooth behind is now very loose 🤞🏻

Son lost it last week. It was wobbly about 3 weeks in the end! Stubborn!
