Two kids and happy?

Can someone reassure me that having two kids isn't as horrific as many people on here seem to make it sound? So many people recommend stopping at one child, but it's a bit late for me as already pregnant!

And reassurance that my life isn't ruined would be fab

Who says it is horrific? I have never heard anyone say that.

I've found multiple posts on here about people regretting a second child. Of course I assume not everyone feels that way!

I was really on the fence about number 2 (it was my DH that was really keen) but it’s been brilliant. I didn’t find it anywhere near as big a jump as 0 to 1 and I’ve loved watching their relationship grow. My second has had a lot to health conditions but even with that considered I’d 100% do it again every time. DS2 is 4 now - might have given you a slightly different answer in the throws of the sleepless nights second time round but definitely worth it!

It's full on for sure but never heard (even in these pages) anyone call it 'horrific'.

Watching my two tell eachother how much they love eachother, and hearing them giggling away playing, are my favourite parts of being a parent. They are so grateful to have eachother and love eachother so much. Obviously there's times they fight and don't get on, but those times are few and far between and the good far far outweigh the bad bits. They call eachother their "bestie", and I only hope they are always as close as they are now (10 & 8)

I couldn't imagine not having our second, she has completed our family, and everything is so fun with two. They entertain eachother from the moment thry wake up until bedtime. I think life would be harder with one, as they would need something to fill that "void" that a sibling brings. Holidays for example they're off playing in the pool etc, while me and dh keep an eye but get to relax also. If eldest didn't have someone to play with, we'd have to be tag teaming in the pool with her. Obviously it's hard work when they're little, but once they reach the slightly more independent stage, you're winning. In fact from the moment youngest was able to understand basic language and imaginary play etc, they've been inseparable, and love eachother company.
