Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I've been up a while this morning. Dd1's off on a residential at Newcastle Uni until Tuesday so I'm making bacon and sausage sarnys for breakfast, before her long train journey.

Once she's gone, I'll tidy my stuff we moved to get at travel bottles & toothbrush holder, and get dressed.

We're decorating dd2's bedroom while dd1's away so we'll shift stuff about in her room, and move dd2 into dd1's room this morning. This afternoon I plan to clean the fridge thrilling and then actually start a crafty project!

Gammon for tea, with roast baby spuds and salad I think 😋 followed by something sweet. Then it's showers & get sorted for the week before an hour with my book, and bed 💤

Good morning Lucysmam and others and Happy Bastille Day. Chelsea26 poor you! I hope it isn't too painful.
I had a long lie until eight because I was awake in the night for a couple of hours. So breakfast done and a trip to Aldi completed. I've now had a scone and a cuppa. My plan to make lime curd is scuppered as Aldi didn't have unsalted butter nor golden caster sugar. As my village is chaotic with roads closed everywhere because of resurfacing, I'm not going to go further afield to Tesco. I'll potter about the house and garden for a while then visit mum.

Busy morning of chores here but so far two lots of washing done, bolognese and sunny chicken batch cooked (chicken in a paprika and tomato sauce with peppers and onions) eldest and I have made a start on the hoovering.

Younger two have finished homework.

Getting ready for a party 🥳 (it's in a local park so we'll all go along to get out for a few hours)

Home for baths, chilling out, bit of screen time probably. Will be ordering Domino's for dinner and then it's football ⚽️ time.

Not feeling too confident but anything can happen I guess. Little one will probably only last the first half and the older two will just have to be a bit tired tomorrow 🙃

Currently watching dd2 kayaking on the river with a hot chocolate and a book, it's warmer out than expected though. Dp is taking dd1 on a walk and they're watching some star wars thing. This afternoon I will probably watch some of the men's final at Wimbledon, any maybe play some Zelda on the switch - I do have to iron school shirts for the last time this school year at somepoint. Dp is making tacos for dinner and we will all watch the football together later. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Currently in bed with one of the cats, he’s not normally cuddly but is having a nice snooze 😊 DD has gone to cricket, DS1 has gone back to his flat in town. We’re going out for lunch later and then footy with mother in law ⚽️

The sun is out here for once so the dog walk was very pleasant. Have done 2 loads washing and tidied the garden. DH peeling the veg, not had roast for weeks and the weather last few weeks demanded a roast dinner, Sod’s Law it’s turned out good today, not complaining though. Roast pork and stuffing, roasties, mash, sweet potatoes and carrots roasted and broccoli for decoration, only oldest DS eats it. DS 2 still zzzzzzz he’s supposed to be cutting the grass!
Afternoon of pottering and a wine or two making the dinner and then football ⚽️
