Good Morning All! What are you all up to today?

I've just made my first cuppa of the day, and fed the kittens. Now I'm going to sit in my kitchen spot with my tea for an hour or two, doing nothing much. It was injection day yesterday & I'm feeling a bit bruised 😥 & I'm signed off work so trying to properly relax.

Girl kitten's sat by my feet, and boy kitten's in the living room somewhere. He's normally very snuggly so this is new!

We haven't got much planned for the day. Dd2 will have homework so she'll probably do that. And dd1 needs to pack for the Newcastle Uni residential she's off to tomorrow (as well as think about organising her things for when we go away on Friday, and when she's in York next week).

I'm either going to nip into town for a new pair of black ballet flats to take away, and upgrade my little suitcase, or start something crafty. Not sure which yet 🤔. I actually might continue the deep clean of the house that I started on Friday maybe.

Good afternoon Lucysmam and All!

Have been out this morning with DD to get a few bits and pieces along with cupcake ingredients to make some chocolate cakes for tomorrow’s footie final.

Washing load needs to be put out now and bacon sarnies to be made for lunch.

DD is supposed to be finishing an English project this afternoon for school that needs to be in for Monday and I’ve said I’ll clean house from top to bottom so we don’t have to do anything tomorrow. However, saying that I can see myself sitting on the sofa watching the tennis eating snacks which does seem a lot more appealing than housework😀.

Taking DD out for a pizza this evening as a treat for doing well at school - just one week to go before end of term and 2.5 weeks left of work for me before I’ve got a few weeks off. Can’t come quick enough!!

We've just got in - me and dd2 went into town & I replaced my battered fabric case with a hard one (with four wheels! Gone up in the world 🤣). Back to the nut house now with the kittens chasing round like loons 🙈. Think I might get an early shower, pj's on, and order us a pizza to share for tea.

Well I know it isn’t morning.

We’re meant to be starting our holiday to Sitges with lots of stops on the way in our camper, but I hit a cow so thats a write off and the poor cow died, I’ve pulled by back, I’ve fractured the elephant ear bit of my pelvis and I’ve got pretty bad whiplash and some pretty impressive bruises, luckily I was on my own in the van, so we’re going to fly out to Sitges rather than hire a camper as I don’t think I’ll be able to sit in one position for long enough to drive it, which is a bit annoying. Luckily our insurance will cover the things we booked between home and Sitges. I’m not allowed to play rugby for 12 weeks, so thats a bit crap, luckily I can run, gym and hyrox as normal.

So instead today my husband took both the kids out to buy a few bits to do things at home until we fly out on Tuesday, our son got a little pokemon cross stitch thing, so I’ve put the frame on a t-shirt so he can do it on there. He also bought a courgette in case they don’t have courgettes in spain…

We’re trying a new takeaway place tonight for tea, it’s the first time I’ve found actual Pakistani food since we moved here so I’m looking forward to that. We just need to pick something to watch, we may start the acolyte.

I hope everyone is still having a good saturday and the poorly ones feel a bit better.

Dear Lordy @Simonjt 🫣, that must have been a horrible accident, I hope you recover quickly. I imagine you’ll be black and blue in a day or two.

Cows are apparently faster, a somehow more inconspicuous than I realised! At the hospital they thought I had bad Swedish and kept correcting cow to deer. I have a very neat line across me where my seat belt was, I also have my first non-rugby fat ear.

Just watching The Bear with my DD. Got back from 18 days in Spain, where we all had bad colds, so getting over that, and I hurt my knee (aggravating old injury) and was in agony any time I had to go up stairs or stand from sitting. Still we were out and about every day and had a good time, busy as I had to do some business there too.
So today it was 'do absolutely nothing'. Got a Tesco delivery but that's it. Didn't shower, didn't get dressed, just watched the tennis. Tomorrow more of the same, then gotta get back at it Monday.

@lucysmam you'll love the new suitcase! I bought one earlier this year and love twirling it about. It's soooo much easier with four wheels. Game changer!

My builder turned up (amazing!) and started painting outside. Whooooooh, I did not choose that colour and now I look like I'm the local witch/hag/crazy woman from the outside. It's almost black. He kept telling me it was grey but it's not the grey I had before 😆

Managed to blast some weeds with my weed burner and made more cards for the local charity. Now it's bed time! Sleep well everyone!

Well I can dream cant I? Its actually a modest city garden, quite a nice one actually. One day though Agent Millions will knock on my door and then who knows😂

I just fed my 2 kittens now time to do homeschool
