Are water wipes really worth the price over other brands?

Ordering in bulk so we are prepped for when baby arrives. Everyone talks about water wipes. I can see they have the fewest number of ingredients but are they worth the price over another brand? Also see Amazon Mama Bear wipes are recommended - has anyone used these?

(I’ve thought of reusable ones but I honestly don’t think it’s for us.)

Thanks :)

I would say water wipes are better, but not enough to justify the price. If your baby has "normal" skin, you'd probably be fine using anything.

Boots do a very good dupe called "sooo sensitive" which is the only other brand we've found that doesn't cause any reaction on my son's skin even when we've used a lot on him. He does have very sensitive skin though, and supermarket brands have been fine for quick wipes.

We did use cloth wipes at home, but we were usually out and about all day during my maternity leave and I didn’t find them practical to use then. They’d have been fine if we were just out for an hour or two, but not all day.

We tried several but go back to water wipes as they are way wetter than any other we have tried so get off the mess more easily.

Another vote for cloth wipes. My eldest is now almost 15 - and we still have those wipes which we now use as flannels. Though I am forcing myself to throw them away as they get holes.

Yes, that’s what happened to ours, and gradually we lost most of them. I bought some gorgeous ones from The Nappy Lady again a year or so back, I was so pleased to find they were still in business as we bought all our cloth nappies there 20 years ago, they have fleece on one side and terry on the other, they are brilliant for removing make-up with cleanser.

We used disposable nappies and wipes sometimes for days out and travel but nursery were fine with cloth nappies and wipes.

we used flannels & warm water
gets poo off much better. and it's gentler on the skin.
ziploc type bag with damp flannel for on the go.
