Dairy and soya free kids lunch ideas

6 replies

I have a young relative coming for lunch who is dairy and soya free.

Any lunch ideas? Said chicken nuggets and chips but what about cold lunches?Sandwiches/bagels etc. He doesn't like ham.

Tesco do a good range I think?

Chicken drumsticks, veg like carrot and pepper sticks, and crisps maybe. How old and how fussy are they?

BLT, egg and salad cream sandwich, boiled eggs, soft tacos, fish fingers, tomato vegetable pasta, potato and egg tortilla, curry and rice, falafel and hummus pitta, there are infinite options!!

I’d do a picky plate. Hummus, veg sticks, some new potatoes or fries, chicken pieces, crisps and a ton of fruit.

Pretty much anything?

Sandwich/wrap with Ham, salmon, beef, hummus, bacon, falafel, chicken, turkey, marmite, jam.

Pasta salads.

Crudités/Salad bits, tomato, cucumber, pepper, carrots

Crisps/puffs/rice cakes

Sweet stuff; Fruit salad, sweets, free from puddings etc

You don't need a range.

Can do pretty much anything. If you want sandwiches use dairy free spread.

@getyergladragson
As a heads up bakery bread often has milk in, and some cobs of you are going down the sandwich route.
Even things I buy often , I double check the ingredients
I'm my opinion Sainsbury's mayo is the best and naturli spread ( it's about £4 tub tho)
