Anyone rescued baby sparrows?

I've found a baby sparrow in our house yesterday. We were aware that they had a nest somewhere in the attic. And we were able to hear the chirping all day through the wall the day before, sounded like they fell but unable to help.
Yesterday, I found the chick covered in cobwebs in our kitchen. He came out from somewhere, I have no clue how he got here.

We've contacted wild life place near us etc and they don't take them. the chick is feathered but his underbelly is completely without feather.
He is eating, we had to force at first but now he calls us and eat off our finger. He had about 3 poos today. We are feeding him the mixture of rice/ suet bird food/ meal worms.
Am I doing it ok?
He is about 1/2 size of regular sparrow. I really want to keep him well until he will be able to fly away.

Any tips please?

Thanks, yes, they are. We;ve tried to let them feed in the garden, but they don't come close. Problem is, he can't fly yet, so if we let him free, he will have no chance, so we had to keep him in the box, and kepp an eye on him. My garden is knd of cats central.
He peed as well as pooed. It was a surprise, but I think he isn't dehydrated atm. Thank you.

We kept one but only for a day after our cat had terrorised him. We kept him in a shoe box with some water and bird seed in. By the evening he was flying about the attic so we opened the window. Sorry am no help but hope he’s ok. Best of luck x

We had a blackbird when we were kids. We did the obvious thing of leaving him in the garden while watching for cats, but nothing came near, so we hand fed him. Raw mince, mashed up tomatoes and saucers of water ring a vague bell. We had a downstairs loo which my mum put a giant branch in so he could perch on it overnight, and during the day he was in the garden while we all shooed the cats away. It was 30+ years ago so I don’t remember the specifics of him learning to fly, but he would fly off for longer and longer, until it was days between his visits. We knew it was him because he’d swoop into the kitchen, one of us would give him something edible and off he’d go again.

It sounds insane remembering it now, but it was a nice experience as a child.

Just to add, in case you’re not up for hand raising a wild bird, just post on your local fb page. There will be an animal nut on there who will either take him or be on first name terms with a sparrow rescue centre.
