Greece (child friendly) resort recommendations

Hello!!

I’m going mad trying to book a summer holiday for next year. Hope someone can help.
I’m looking for a European all inclusive holiday for DH, DS(4) and I and can’t seem to tell if I have really unrealistic expectations or if I am just a crap holiday searcher 😂can someone help?

would like:
5 star
luxurious for adults while also being kid friendly
Good food. Ideally with a choice of a la carte restaurants, if not then we are happy with just a really good buffet with lots of choice
Luxurious modern rooms
Bathrooms ideally to have a walk in shower in addition to a bathtub
On a sandy beach (as best for DS to play in)
Childrens pool (not fussed about water slides)
Somewhere not too loud - I.e. hate loud music playing at night and would ideally prefer there isn’t loud music in the day by the pool either

Dont need:
Not fussed about entertainment
Don’t need a kids club

Could I get this for around £3.5k for 7nights or am I being crazy? Would have really liked 10 nights but that seems to push cost over £4k which I think is crazy for Europe.

Any resort recommendations would be great too. Tia x

Forgot to mention that it doesn’t have to be Greece either. Open to going Spain too but I’m finding Spain even more expensive than Greece! Basically I’m just finding that you don’t get much in Europe with even a healthy budget.

I would have thought you're expecting a lot for £3500, especially as you're wanting 5 star. Someone could come along with a good deal though!

Thanks! I’m not very clued up on prices for Europe all inc so thought £3.5k was a healthy budget. I’m comparing it to my holiday in DomRep where I spent £2k for me and DH for 2 weeks on a 5 star resort….though that was a few years ago!
Willing to stretch to £4k max if needed but just wasn’t sure if I was overspending for Europe iyswim. Just not sure what’s normal now.

We went here in May. It had lots for our children but still felt like a nice hotel for adults, with a good all inclusive buffet and 2 a la cartes. We paid extra for a Main Building Family Suite which had 2 bathrooms, one with walk-in shower, and one with a bath. Lots of entertainment on throughout the day and evening, but the hotel was spaced out enough to not be noisy if you were not interested. The beach (Nissi Beach) was beautiful, clear blue water and soft sand.

Does it have to be all inclusive? Or 5 star?

All of Greece has great hospitality and loves children. If you don't want a kids club, loud entertainment or a fancy pool then aren't you describing a villa near a beach with a few tavernas? Not a 5 star AI resort.

I randomly picked Santorini on Booking.com and found a load of villas and hotels that would fit your brief for about £1K. Leaving you £2.5K left over for flights, food and days out.

Try Creta Maris. Very lovely and meets your criteria. Might just get it for that price

Grecotel Lux Me. Best holidays we've ever had as a family

NatterNatter50 · 07/07/2024 10:12

Thanks everyone! Some great ideas here so will price all these up. Will look at a villa too. Was just thinking all inc because last few hols have been self catering and I found it quite exhausting having to go to restaurants for food with DS. And hated all the washing up and cleaning too. And I like a nice breakfast buffet too. But will keep an open mind

We never ever self cater! Pick somewhere that does a nice breakfast so that's sorted and then everything else is eating out. I don't think we went anywhere that a 4 yr old wouldn't have been fussed over by all the staff.

NatterNatter50 · 07/07/2024 10:24

Thanks @AnnaMagnani - yes self catering is just exhausting and super stressful. Just the same shit as home but in a different setting! And yes I don’t want cereal for breakfast or to be cooking breakfast myself so can compromise on all inc but would at least like b&b as a minimum. We are not big drinkers.
