Is my ninja air fryer broken? Urgent

I steamed water in it in order to clean the fan earlier today. If the air fryer is plugged in the air fryer fan will run even if the air fryer itself is turned off.

I don't understand the question? The fan only runs when the air fryer is on?

I think I know what you mean. I’ve done it a few times before when I’ve turned the air fryer on when there was water in it in order to clean it and it was fine.

Ok but I did that and now the air fryer fan runs even if the unit is turned off but it is plugged in at the wall

No, the fan runs when the air fryer is off. There is a button on the air fryer to turn it off and on. The fan will run when the unit itself is off but it is plugged in at the wall

I really need to understand if this issue will resolve itself and it is a function of the air fryer or if I need to buy a new air fryer

Is it because its recognised its damp and is drying itself. A bit like when the oven fan stays on to cool it down once turned off?

I don’t know, should I leave it on then to dry? It already looks dry enough to me

I'm pretty sure that the Ninja instructions say do not put water in them and to just wipe with a damp cloth - because condensation could cause a dangerous short circuit.

I would unplug it and leave it for a day or two to ensure its fully dried out in the electrics. Then try again.

It has been running the fan for a while now by itself.

Ok it is literally the only way I have of cooking food at the moment so I might have to buy a new one
