Can you go on any rides pregnant?

We are off to lightwater valley today and I'm 5 weeks pregnant. I haven't been in about 15 years but think the rides are mainly little ones now aimed at younger kids. Would I be able to go on any or should I leave that to DP? I thought as long as I'm not going on any fast ones then it would be ok but I'm not sure?

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I would expect there to be signs up at the entrance to any ride that you should not go on if you are pregnant (or have other medical conditions).

The general advice would be to not and there will probably be signs up.
Having said that some of the little rides there are no faster etc than a car and some are slower.
Up to you really

Im quite risk averse so I wouldn’t risk a pregnancy for one day of fun. I would feel so guilty if anything bad happens even if it is completely unrelated to the rides

Things like the farm tractor train thing will be ok (I'm getting flashbacks of the annoying song just thinking about it...). And the carousel.

Avoid the roller coasters

At only 5 weeks I don't know how any ride could affect a pregnancy but obviously ask a professional.

Although... I unknowingly went on the dodgems(and drank copiously... it was a good party!) at about 5 weeks and child is now 11yo.

I went on little childrens rides with my dd when I was pregnant with my ds. It was a flying ride. No bumps, crashes, sudden stops or anything that would cause a jolt.

At 5 months I'd understand not going on but at 5 weeks I think you should be fine. The baby is teeny tiny and very well protected beneath your pubic bone. The only thing would be that if you did go on to miscarry then would you blame yourself or feel guilty for going on the rides? Even though chances are they would have had nothing to do with the loss.
