40’s, suffered with adult acne, but this has been under control for ages. Currently have an absolute humdinger!!!

Not cystic but a very, very swollen/big/sore what will probably end up with a small head.

Obviously I have plans Saturday.

I never really found anything which dealt with them in past. Most just left leave them dry and flakey.

Have things moved on? Is there anything that will shrink overnight without the scabby flakeyness!!! Thinking even if its online only i can do next day del.

Bathe with very hot water (not boiling) and apply some of this. I've found it to be the best thing I've ever tried for spots.

I use A tube of cream called"Acnecide" from any chemist & it's a miracle worker! I get the odd big spot coming up to my period, I'd highly recommend it!

Retired MD in our family. He would suggest you use a very common product used in hospitals every day that I always have on hand for this or other deep skin infections: Hexamedine transcutane. Not the ordinary hexamedine. It is somewhat like rubbing alcohol but less drying.

Soak some cotton wool in the product , apply ( lie down if possible) and leave it there for an hour . Do this once or twice a day for a few days . It should be getting better in 24 hours.

You could also try rubbing alcohol if Hex. isn't available at your pharmacy.

I use these, tried on a whim as only a few quid from Tesco, I've been really impressed at how they reduce the redness and size.

Zitstickas are my go to for when a spot is at its early stages and Dots for Spots when they get closer to “erupting” and you can see the white under the skin - very satisfying too!
