If you’re a teacher…would you like this gift?

Last September, the rules were changed from the kids being provided equipment from school, to parents having to provide it due to budget cuts.

For the end of year present to two different classrooms, I was thinking of doing an equipment bundle, for any kids who have missing items. I’m thinking things like pencils, erasers, glue sticks etc, all in a nice gift set with the added bonuses of chocolates or something like that.

Stupid or not?

Lovely gift. My teacher dd supplies this sort of thing out of her own pocket.

I’d actually love this!

When I was teaching in Primary, I'd have loved this.
There's only so many mugs you can use.

I'm a primary school teacher. I don't really want an end of term present but if I was to be given anything, decent glue sticks and whiteboard pens would be very welcome.

it’s not a present for the teacher - it’s a present for parents who aren’t parenting.

Not having enough money to buy schools supplies does not make a parent a bad parent.

Nope - chocolates or wine

One year myself and a friend bought £100 worth of books for the classroom, we asked what the class needed. There's only so much wine a teacher can drink

We used our last glue stick 10 days ago - I would massively appreciate a box (of the GOOD ONES!).

If you added BluTak, masking tape, and some coffee bags it would be perfect!
And a few reusable plastic cups for when children have come in without a water bottle.

Ooo board pens could be a good add on too. Thanks

If you get board pens make sure you get the ones that can be erased.

I like wine.

My niece is a primary school teacher and I know she'd appreciate it as like many other teachers she buys a lot of that kind of thing for her class out of her own money. She would see it as a gift for her because it is saving her money and making her job less stressful. The kids in her class who don't have basic equipment aren't generally in that position because their parents "aren't parenting" but because their parents can't buy stationary when they are struggling to afford food or electricity.
It's a kind idea and would benefit the teacher and class.
