What are these spots?!

Morning everyone - 4 yr old DD has woken up with these spots on the back of her thighs. They don't seem itchy and she's otherwise completely fine. She spent a lot of time rolling around the garden yesterday but she had leggings on, so I don't think it's stings or bites. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you!

You can get but/stung through clothes

I'm not sure by what, though . . . I'm more of an indoors person Grin

They look more like little blisters - are there any plants that can do that? There aren't any nettles or any of the obvious culprits.

Chickenpox surely.

DD's had chickenpox already, @SoComplicated - it's very unusual to get it twice, as far as I'm aware. I agree though, they do look like mild chickenpox blisters - it was my first thought when I saw them.

Mollescum?

BahNotSomethingElseNow · 03/07/2024 08:54

Oh maybe, @Ratfinkstinkypink - some of the images I've googled look similar, probably the closest yet, but they don't have the dimple described.

Puzzler!

Do you have any pets? Flea bites?

MassiveOvaryaction · 03/07/2024 09:08

I react like that to ant bites. Maybe she had ants in her pants?

If she's feeling well in herself I'd assume a bite/sting of some sort and give a dose of Piriton. If she's unwell then pharmacist/GP.

No pets @2dogsandabudgie. Ants are a possibility, @MassiveOvaryaction - piriton it is, thank you. Amazing username, by the way Grin

My parents don't have pets but have had a massive problem with fleas in their grass recently which they think are coming from cats in the area. My mum's feet and ankles are a mess from it despite having trousers and shoes on. Fleas do often bite a few times in a row so might be possible although I'm not sure about if they could get through leggings or not.

BahNotSomethingElseNow · 03/07/2024 11:19

Oh my goodness @Tarkan - now I'm itching Shock

I really hope that's not the case, the last thing we need is a flea infestation. Although I'm sure I read somewhere that cat fleas can't live on humans . . .
