How often to chase conveyancer?

Posting for traffic...

Finally got a completion date on the sale of ex marital home - 10th July.

I need an exchange date for my onward purchase so they can exchange at the same time.

I've sent 3 email and made 3 unanswered phone calls since Thursday, the most recent at 10am today - not totally out of character for my conveyancer unfortunately.

I need this date asap as I may need to cancel a trip if my onward purchase goes quickly enough.

When should I chase next?

so close to exchange - daily
also ask specifically if there is anything outstanding so that you have a chance to sort them out.

Last enquiry was finally satisfied last week so nothing outstanding. Will try to ring again this afternoon but it's all just so frustrating!

Keep calling until you get a response. Don't worry about being annoying to them.

Thanks @SparrowFeet, giving her til 3 (5 hours after my last call and email) and I'll call again. Just have to know if I need to cancel my trip!

What has the Vendor of the property said about the 10th? If you can't speak to them direct, ask the agents since they act for the Vendor. Your solicitor can't do anything until they know all parties are ready and have instructions from their client what date they want. When it comes to exchange, all solicitors will speak to those either side and won't exchange on your sale without being able to do so on your purchase (unless you tell them otherwise).

I am the vendor and the 10th has been agreed by all parties. I simply need a proposed exchange date for my forward purchase. I deal with my buyer directly (Purple Bricks) and her side also is waiting for my conveyancer to confirm a date.
