Opposite to my sil is a house with lots of males coming and going, expensive cars, blinds always closed, often loud music etc
Would you flag it up. ? My worry is there are women that might be trafficked

Absolutely. Unfortunately pop up brothels really are a thing. 😢

MounjaroUser · 30/06/2024 21:32

I would definitely flag it with the police. Does your SIL ever see any women going in and out? It's far more worrying if she doesn't.

MounjaroUser · 30/06/2024 21:33

I'd be taking photos of the numberplates, too, if the police could guarantee the men wouldn't be told the photos were from her.

Only one woman who has dogs

I have some experience of trafficking, not first hand but used to volunteer at a charity.

Unfortunately women also participate in trafficking, not as often as men, but the gang members’ girlfriends etc are frequently used to gain the victims’ trust and ‘smooth things over’.

The more I’m reading the more it sounds like a trafficking situation. Sorry, OP. If it is, you will be saving lives if you report it though.

No, the police won’t be aware. They rely on information from the public.

LovelyDaaling · 30/06/2024 21:43

Why would the police 'definitely be aware'? I'd tell them.

Cozylozy · 30/06/2024 21:46

I will go through 101, I think my dh thought is because they’re so noisy and all the activity that it would be on their radar.

Not really. They don’t go out patrolling anymore and even if they saw something, they’d probably just assume a house party. They can’t really take action unless they are notified of concerns and they won’t know this stuff goes on there all the time unless someone tells them.

The policing model in the UK relies on intelligence from the public.
