How many people are watching the football in a pub?

I love the atmosphere! But DP is refusing to go 😞 I've arranged to go with a friend instead but I feel a bit guilty going out and leaving DP with our (very) active toddler.

How many of you are watching in a pub or similar?

Plus this is likely to be England's last Euros game 😂

What would you have done with your toddler if DP wanted to go too?

I don't think it's an issue if you both have things that you do separately. Maybe it's just not his cup of tea and that's the reason he didn't want to go. Fair enough. Not for everybody

This will be there 2nd last game. They will lose to Switzerland. I'll watch it at home but I don't like England🤣

Nah not for me these days , fan zones have been very poorly attended and pubs are so expensive and noisy

I was in the pub with friends on Tuesday but am at home watching it today. I don't think it'll be our last game. We should beat Solvakia.

I like the atmosphere in a pub, but can never see the screen as well as at home, so don't go any more!

Thanks guys! I'm still undecided.....

Taken her with us. There's a kids play area.

Can't you take the toddler with you and your friend if that's the case? DP then gets a couple of hours to himself and you don't feel guilty?

Precipice · 30/06/2024 14:12

Does your DP never go out anywhere and leave you with the toddler? Surely, you can't always be both at home with the toddler or both out with the toddler?

I don't care about the football. I don't tend to watch sports in general, but when I do, it's women playing. Not interested in the men's.

I get the sentiment behind this, but I wouldn't suggest it.

OP women are allowed to go out and leave their DH looking after their own children, whether active or not. Just enjoy a few hours out of the house and offer your DH the chance to escape next weekend if he'd like a break.
