I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in my kitchen spot, while the kittens roll around like loons in the corner.

I need to get the washer going & tidy up. Somehow the kitchen resembles a pigsty even though we were out yesterday 🤷‍♀️

We don't have much planned for the day, or at least, I don't. Dd2 wants dd1 to go into town with her for some school shoes - she usually lives in her boots regardless of weather. Dd1 won't be too happy but will go, when she gets up.

I'm going to make a pie for tea and go for the mag I wanted yesterday. That's it other than the kitchen. My dad might pop round to meet the kittens too.

Later on it'll be an everything shower for me, followed by an hour with my book before an early night 💤.

Good afternoon @lucysmam & everyone - late to the party. I worked til 2, which wasn’t quite as busy as I’d expected, then home for a sandwich & much needed cuppa. It was beautiful sunshine here this morning but has clouded over & gone a bit chilly. DD15 is out for a walk & DH is happily building his new bike in the back garden. He’s been so excited, bless him! I’m thinking very hard about dusting our room as it’s really shocking! Will definitely do the dishwasher & run Henry Hoover around downstairs. Will be watching the match then making an easy tea of pasta, jar pesto, peas & grated cheese. DH is going to put the new duvet set on. He doesn’t actually like it ( I thought he would when I bought it) but he’ll adapt!

I'm on holiday too but have just finished watching the Tour de France go past my house and sort of wishing I was there!

How's everyone's days going?

I'm waiting on a pie filling to cook so I can quickly assemble said pie & we can have tea.

I've been to the shop for flour for pastry, juice and wine. I forgot the juice so sent the girls on their way from town. I did manage treats and snacks though, and they brought me cheap Ben & Jerry's ice cream home 🙈

I've actually been more productive than I planned to be - I've cleaned the washer drawer and its compartment, and the washer itself! Plus sorted some takeaway tubs for my friend who always takes them when I'm over run. I've half sorted my work bag & had a vague sort of my wardrobe too.

Think I'll pour a glass of wine next.

Just realised I forgot my mag too 🙄 can't want it that much then.

I'm sitting in the hotel beer garden not watching the football, in the sun, drinking AI wine and scrolling, before we go in for dinner

busy morning for me, we've had our grandson overnight, so a walk before lunch, sunday dinner with his mummy and daddy when they get here, a bit of tidying up because i am OCD and i can't bear a disorganised house for long and then me and my youngest DD (22) are tying out some hair dyes...

thats pretty much it after that

Today I have:

Emptied, cleaned and refilled 3 litter trays.

Cooked tomorrow dinner for me, DH and DD to take to work.

I've washed and dried my bedding and put a new set on.

Done a load of washing and put it on the clothes horse.

Dusted downstairs and hoovered.

I've had my shower.

Now I've almost finished cooking tea. Naughty one tonight. Burgers, chips and beans yum!

Day of rest my arse!

It's been nice. House to myself this weekend.

Just had tea, cheese omelette, sautéed chestnut mushrooms with coarse seasalt and Worcestershire sauce, followed by 2 GU new york cheesecakes.

Finished Xmas shopping today, hurrah! Watching a film with a coffee.

My day has been more productive than I thought, I’ve

Sewed (is that how you spell it?) some velcro onto some new shirts for my husband
Washed the car and van (exterior only)
Washed and bagged by size clothes our daughter has outgrown
My husbands hoovered everywhere and cleaned the kids rooms

I’m about to make tea, I’ve made some batter so I can make some fried veg with a bang bang style batter, we’re having it with veg, noodles and possibly some finely slices deep fried tofu or if I can’t be bothered to do that I’ll just add a poached egg to everyones bowl.

🤣 @ssd, tbf to @CalicoPusscat I keep meaning to crack on with mine! Advent calendar presents are done & stockings about 80% of the ones both girls have the same but different (colour/size or whatever) are done. And cupboard food started. Need to research what iPad to get for dd1 at some point 🤔

@ssd I'm off work at the moment so have far too much time on my hands to spend! My bank account has taken a wallop if that makes it better. Of course, I bought some things for myself as well 😳

@lucysmam little and often :) it's easier to start a bit earlier. MN might be able to help with an age appropriate iPad!

Finally found the thread I was looking for, good to hear from everyone.
Kids went to church by metro, dh decided to go down and get some paint for his model railway. I stated on the dinner; DB sent a message saying he was on his own so invited him over for Sunday dinner too.
He had just left and DH decided to go to the local shop - when DH's brother and his wife arrived, so he missed them but DS, DD and I went out to chat to them - he's just had a hip replacement so stayed in the car.
They left, DS went off round town (I told him to go to Hotel Chocolat but the free samples had run out by the time he got there), DH came back and painted his model railway in the garden.
DD and I went for a walk via the yummy wild raspberry bush and got some chocolate on the way back then she did her homework and I read in the garden for a bit with a coffee.
It got chilly so I went into the porch and played wordscapes til my phone battery ran out. Then had sausage, egg and chips for tea and beat the kids at dominoes!
