Hi previously posted in Work but reposted here - I'm looking into possibly starting a business providing home care help for the elderly but unsure where to start.
Background- I'm 57 and just been made redundant from an office admin position. In the past I have had more responsibilities in sales and office roles but I'm not relishing the thought of going back to this.
I'd like to think I'm caring, empathetic and organised.
I've started volunteering at a couple of dementia groups and I'm also considering training as a Love to Move deliverer. This provides seated exercises for people with dementia and can be delivered to private groups, care homes and 1 to 1.
I'd like to help with cooking, shopping, light housekeeping, trips out. I would not be providing personal care.
Ideally earning £1000-1500 per month.
Is anyone currently doing this and how's it working for you?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

My mil doesn't need personal care yet except help to have a shower.
Her carer does basic health checks like blood pressure, seated exercises and takes her on outings.
Also things like jigsaws if they're staying in.
It's an amazing service, helping mil stay stimulated and active.
