Going for 3 nights
Staying all inclusive
The only day we will eat out is the last day and grab lunch
Not doing any trips /beach clubs
Simply want to relax
I was thinking 250 euros spending money
For food on the last day /couple of cocktails/water etc
Do you think that will be enough ?

Depends entirely what you are doing. If you just stay around the pool all day youll need €50

If you buy cocktails out youll need €€

My son is just back from one of his trips to Ibiza. He took £1,600 spending money for three nights. It’s a really expensive place

Sounds like plenty to me, considering you're staying AI and planning on mainly staying in your hotel to relax. Sounds like a lovely break, enjoy!

He's not spending that on lunch and cocktails!

Arlanymor · 29/06/2024 10:54

I’d budget €300 in total - €100 a day so that (a) you can splash out a bit on your last meal and (b) you have some contingency money in the event of an emergency.

If you're staying all inclusive then that's tons of money. Drinks can be expensive in the nicer bars but around the west end they aren't.

No. Booze and nightclubs

Bjorkdidit · 29/06/2024 11:21

I don't understand how you'd think that wouldn't be enough unless 'lunch and a couple of cocktails' is code for something.

We've just had a few days in Ibiza. A meal for two or a few tapas and a couple of large beer's each was around 50-70 euros a time.

Cocktails were a bit more but not excessively so, 10 to 15 euro each at most.

quiltbear · 29/06/2024 11:23

@Bjorkdidit well I wanted to go to mambos but after looking at the prices I panicked that everywhere was that expensive
They want 35 euro for just a burger

Really depends where abouts you are staying!

longdistanceclaraclara · 29/06/2024 11:27

Well if you go to mambo it's going to be expensive. Go to the shop over the road to get your drinks and sit in front of the bar you still get the music and the sunset.

Bjorkdidit · 29/06/2024 11:29

How many is this for? Even at 35 euros for a burger, 250 will be more than enough for burgers and cocktails for two for lunch.

loropianalover · 29/06/2024 11:31

So you literally just need money for one lunch? I’d just take my credit card and use it on the day, pay it off when you get home.

quiltbear · 29/06/2024 11:33

Oh I didn't realise we could get drinks and sit outside
I've never been before so wasn't sure where anything was
It's just the two of us

This. I would have maybe €50 on me, just in case, but I'd plan to put any spending on a card (either Revolut, or one of the credit cards with no exchange fees).

This. We paid by card for everything except when we went on the bus which was cash only unless you had bought a pass.

countdowntonap · 29/06/2024 15:08

If you’re going to Mambo for sunset, there will be a minimum spend for most tables.
It’s not a place worthy of visit at lunch. The draw in the evening is the atmosphere and the fact that some world class DJs do their warm-up set there.
