Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I've just put the kettle on for a cup of coffee to drink in my kitchen spot. I've been playing with the kittens for the past half hour while I drank my brew. They're currently galloping about causing chaos & trying to eat my handbag 🙄

The washer's on with what looks to be today's only wash load - we'll see! There's pots from last night to wash, and the living room needs a tidy round so we'll do that before we head out.

Me and dd2 are off to the local (man made) lake for a wander. We'll probably have a mooch in the shops, and the plan is to call into the pizza restaurant late afternoon, before we head home.

Dd1's working the local races so can't join us this time 😥

I fancy a completely pointless magazine to flip through later on so we'll nip in the shop for that and a bottle of wine later, on the way home.

Morning everyone!

Just about to drop DD to an animal place with her mates. She hasn't done anything for weeks because of A Levels and now she's rammed loads of plans in for the next few months - lovely to see her enjoying life again!

DS worked with me this week for school work experience and his words at bedtime were "please tell me I haven't got to get up tomorrow, you will leave me alone won't you" so I think he needs a rest 😂

A friend is having an op today so picking her up, taking her home and looking after her a bit later.

Possibly fitting in an hour with my book in between!

There isn’t an England game today! At least I finish work in time to watch tomorrow!

Still in bed drinking cappuccino with DD2 showing me her prom dress - she’s only in Year 7 😂

Off to see my Dad later then a trip into town to get last minute supplies for DD1 DoE expedition tomorrow.

Home to pizza and a film.

Morning! It's the first day of school holidays here and we are just spending it lazing about the house, kids are glued to screens, I've got a book here and will do bits and bobs of housework and cooking inbetween reading and mumsnetting.

It’s a nice day here! Was out early with my dogs, now relaxing on the sofa with one of them. If the weather stays nice all plans for housework etc will be dumped in favour of reading a book in the garden.

I got out of bed at 9.30.
Ive got no house work to do at all.
But i do have a floor that i have to scrub the paint off and get it ready for sanding.

I'm trying to do a bit of work while DH and DS1 (10) are at DS1's footy match.
DS2 (7) is in bed singing to himself and playing Minecraft.
On my second coffee and looking longingly outside hoping it'll stop raining long enough for me to get out for a walk.
Nothing else planned for today. Pizza for dinner, probably thousands of DS' friends in and out all day. Did all the washing in the week while it was sunny and I had some days off.

Dcat has gone under a bed somewhere for a sleep.

Sunny here. First load of washing on. Will have a shower soon. Looking forward to a few beers watching the Germans in the Euros tonight x

I've had a busy morning already!
Up very early and did a few jobs. Walked into town to send some returns for once and some bits I've sold on Vinted.
Walked to the gym and did an hour there then home.
Now showered and having a brew in peace.
Waiting for the drizzle to stop so some washing can go out and I need to get sorted for a work trip this week.
DH is at work and adult DD away so it's very quiet!

Had a lovely scone for breakfast.

Have fed cats, dog (DNiece' dog) & birds. Had a little tidy. On tablet now, as it's pouring down and poor DDog doesn't like the rain, so can't go out for a walk yet.

Will pop into town later for cat litter and various bits. Try and finish reading my book. Do a little xword.

A very uneventful Saturday, but I'm not complaining😊

The weathers a bit rubbish here I'm hoping the sun comes out so I can get some washing on the line.
DP is visiting his mum with dd they'll be back later this afternoon. I've had 2 coffees and I'm lounging in bed scrolling on MN.
Forced myself to do a big clean last night so I don't have much housework to do

Morning! I’m using this thread to get my lazy ass out of bed. I need to shower, eat breakfast, and head to the local art museum to take pictures of a workshop that’s in progress. Afterward I’ll likely wander over to M & S to get a couple things then head home to season the roast beef for dinner tonight and try to unfuck the kitchen and living room. We’ve both been busy this week and have let things slide immensely.

I’ll catch up with the rest of the thread while wolfing down breakfast. Have a beautiful day everyone! ☺️

Good morning @lucysmam and others. Wake up quite early for a Saturday. Went for DC's football class. Now home and have put some pasta for lunch for DC while DH and I will have pizza for the India vs SA WC cricket match later this afternoon. Very excited. We are big cricket fans.

Then DH and DC will pop over to see grandparents and nephew and I will have a few hours home to watch the match get some housework done.

Morning all. Worked 6.30 till 9.30. Rang my best friend when I got home as its her birthday.
Got some reduced chicken, leek and mushrooms from work which I browned and put in slow cooker with a sauce. Will freeze for a future pie. Ds2's best friend is here doing the garden. I've just rung a friend and had half an hour on the phone with her. Mums cooking burgers for lunch.

Good morning, its sunny here and 23°, I’ve been to a group hyrox training session this morning. I’m not doing too bad for my age, but part of that is being at the lower age of my band.

My husbands out with the kids, I have no idea where, so its nice and peaceful at home, well it would be but the dogs being a pain because there’s a deer in the garden.

We’re going to watch some of the new series of the boys later.

Have a nice saturday.

Weeded the gravel in the back garden, will mow the front and side grass in a bit.

Then me and my OH are living the high life and staying in a Premier Inn tonight, that's only 10 miles down the road 🤣 🤣 meal, drinks and a room for the night. Well, why not, eldest is still at Uni and the youngest certainly won't miss us.

I have had so little sleep this past fortnight I took a night nurse style tablet and slept til 9:20, but am very groggy. Swings and roundabouts.

Fed all the cats, went back to bed for an hour, put my makers mark on some pottery I did yesterday. Going to transform my potting shed into a pottery shed for the summer so off to Limoges later today to buy some clay and knives and stuff.

Keeping it simple for lunch with a cheesy pasta which I'm about to startaking in 20 mins.

I'll do more pottery trimming later and just enjoy a quiet restful evening with some clay.

Kittens are hard work but so much fun. They'll soon grow up and you'll be thinking "they're so boring" 😅

Had a stupidly busy week (and same again next week) so there were no massive plans this weekend but I've woken up with an awful sore throat. Even swallowing in painful.

Kids and DP have gone out for a bike ride / picnic lunch and I'm just pottering about feeling sorry for myself.

Will send the two to the local park later for a run about and hopefully find some Difflam somewhere (DP checked local Boots and they are out of all throat sprays so it seems like a sore throat is going about!)

Dinner will be something simple. Probably fajitas or stir fry.
