Would you recommend your toilet?

Weird question, but I'm sick of my toilet as the hinges keep going on the seat, which means the seat needs replacing often as it's impossible to find just hinges. The seats are £100 each so I'm not impressed at having to replace it once every six months. It's an Ideal Standard.

Does anyone have a toilet that is reliable, sturdy, and if, God forbid, you need to find replacement parts, you're able to source them without too much strife?!

😂 Love your title so much I just had to join you in the toilet!
Mine's absolutely awful and the flush has packed up. Hope you find a good one.

Does your loo not work with standard seats? We just have toilets, they are toilet shaped and you can whack a cheap seat from B&Q on them. One of the loos is a fancy one but it still takes a standard seat. I don't think I've ever had a loo that you couldn't stick a cheap seat on.

Argos toilet seat is good

I bought a v expensive seat from John Lewis , wood msg tongue groove lid. Looked great and it was poor awful quality. Wood came apart, hinges rusted. John Lewis plaque thing rustlers whole thing was a nightmare. Ended up giving in and buying a ' cheap' Argos home anti bac toilet seat and it's been excellent. Easy to install and clean and nothing to rust/ break x

I honestly haven't a clue! It took me ages to work out how to even take this toilet seat off. It's one of those sleek looking ones with top hinges where all the fixings at internal, so there isn't anything under the toilet seat you can manually tighten.

There are rawl plug type things in the holes that you screw the hinges into, but the problem is they will break if I pull the seat out to inspect them and get measurements, and I won't be able to put them back in place. We only have one bathroom unfortunately so I can't be doing with a seatless toilet.

I would like to just buy a cheap loo seat but I can't work out what'll fit and what won't. I suppose I need to make sure that the hinges are the right width part and that they are the right thickness to go into the holes in my toilet ...

We have a burlington something or other. I dont like the inside of the toilet as it leaves skid marks on it every time

The seat is well over 100 quid and got damaged soon after we bought it, so it sits there all damaged because I refuse to buy a new seat. I cant find anything else, its black wood so havent seen anything similar
