Is it even possible to buy Taylor Swift Tickets

I'm probably one of many millions after tickets for TS Eras Tour. Is there a secret to being able to hear if tickets become available? So many scams about, and I'm obviously not going to pay £900 a ticket through sites like viagogo.

Willing to travel. Would need 4 tickets.

What's the best way to be in with even a slight chance?? DD has cried so many tears over not seeing her, I at least want to tell her I've tried my best at getting tickets. Most of her friends went to the gig in Glasgow so now I've got terrible mum guilt

I'm so clueless Confused

There was no gig in Glasgow?

yes it’s possible, I went to one of the Liverpool concerts and bought face value tickets 2 weeks before. It takes tons of time and dedication to find tickets and weed out the scammers.

look at her European tour dates and choose an interesting city that you would like to visit and go there. Finding tickets for Wembley in August will be super hard, IMO your chances for Munich, Zurich, Warsaw, Vienna etc will be much higher. But it’s a risk of course.

SuuzeeeQ · 24/06/2024 22:36

Four tickets is also a challenge and I have not often seen that many together on sale. Could you 2 and 2?

sleepfortheweek · 24/06/2024 22:51

Sorry - I meant Edinburgh 🤦‍♀️.

How did you manage to get tickets? I was looking at Vienna but no idea how to go about searching for genuine tickets 🙈

Yes we would definitely consider splitting up at the same gig

You’ll still need a code, or buy from a resale site. People have had luck buying tickets from people outside the concert or on the day online, but that’s risky.

OhHelloMiss · 24/06/2024 23:26

How old is your DD to be crying so much over this?

You'd seriously spend over 3 grand on 4 tickets?

CalicoPusscat · 24/06/2024 23:34

I really, really wouldn't like to be trying now judging by all the threads on it.

They're extremely difficult to get hold of last minute so it's likely not feasible.

Yes I know people who found 1 or 2 tickets when they were waiting outside. 4? Not a chance

I am also on a group with people looking for tickets, and half of them are Americans who are flying over despite not having any tickets.

your child shouldn't be crying over not going to a gig? That to me would be reason not to go.

Wow, strangers on the internet are mean 🤣.

I wonder, if I asked someone IRL the same question whether they would turn round and call my DD names or make assumptions about my family out loud.

DD is 10. She isn't an adult and hasn't developed the emotional regulation of an adult yet. She is 100% allowed to be sad over this. She isn't demanding tickets, just disappointed that she isn't going to experience it, like a lot of her friends have.

I am clueless, I don't know and didn't appreciate how these things work - hence why asking. Someone on FB was selling some so I enquired and turned out to be a big scam so just wondered if there was somewhere genuine where tickets could be bought.

Anyway, sounds like I should give up trying. As stated above - I am NOT willing to pay thousands (as someone above suggested) however we were wanting a long weekend away in the summer so would have considered tying it in with that if it was a possibility.

What a delight you are. Absolutely no need to speak to someone like that. If the OP is in Scotland, it’s cheaper to go to places like Vienna or say, Copenhagen (I use that just as an example) than it is to go to London. Give your head a wobble, you know nothing of the OPs background. Perhaps you should take some lessons yourself and not be nasty.

CalicoPusscat · 25/06/2024 06:58

The hype around this unreal - as far as I know you have a better chance of getting a code if you buy her newly released albums? Someone correct me if I'm wrong!

Is it streamed live on a channel?

The album you had to buy was end of 2022 I think. And yes you can find all concerts streaked live on you tube.

CosyMosy · 25/06/2024 07:02

OP keep looking on ticketmaster and on twickets. People have gotten lucky. Do not even entertain anyone on any social media platform that is trying to sell tickets even if they look very genuine, they could resell them on ticketmaster and they’d be gone in seconds so anyone saying ‘just want what I paid for them’ on social media is a scammer. Some cities still require codes but they are being taken off closer to the gig so if you’re prepared for last minute you’re in with a chance. I have seen people have gotten tickets off of Viagogo for ok prices for European dates, I’m against viagogo as they inflate prices but on TikTok (I know, I know 🙈) I’ve seen people get them for under £100. Viagogo gurantee money back if the ticket isn’t genuine and sellers don’t get paid till after the gig so that hopefully reduces the chances of your ticket being duplicated

ignore all the nasty people on here. This website is getting worse and people need to get a life

SqueezedMiddleTummy · 25/06/2024 07:03

Viagogo or StubHub is fine (I bought some through there). They guarantee the tickets and will refund : try and get you alternatives if not. Wembley is £600+ on viagogo but there are some reasonably priced ones for European cities if you look, Amsterdam next week is about £200 (although restricted view). If you’re thinking of a weekend away anyway. People will scaremonger and say they’re not valid but I’m on a fan fb site where loads of people have got in fine with these tickets.

Buy from a verified seller (look for the star on viagogo). They have sold 100+ tickets on there before. Bear in mind it’s a tout but it’s now the only way to buy without codes. Twickets sells cheaper fan to fan but hens teeth to get.

the tickets will be transferred to your ticketmaster a few days before and only a few days before (although for Edinburgh transfers opened on ticketmaster about 10 days before).

DO NOT tell your DD you are going or thinking of going until you actually have the tickets in your ticketmaster or axs account. As above, this could be several days after you pay viagogo or StubHub, and only a few days before the concert. I told my youngest DD (10) we were going away with my 17 year old who did have tickets I bought with a code last year, following buying an album a year before that, and we would just soak up the atmosphere outside. I only told her we had tickets when I had them in my ticketmaster account.

btw I now have a code for Amsterdam via applying there a year ago and no tickets are coming up even with the code! Been refreshing for ages for a friend.

Yes it's absolute mania - and unfortunately DD is swept up in it (although I would very much like to see her too - I remember her first album and loved it!)

DD streams the music through Apple Music so doesn't 'own' a copy for a code. Thank you though, I didn't know that!

She's seen the tour at the cinema when it came out. I think a lot about it is the atmosphere, her friend was telling us about the bracelet swapping etc and annoyingly everyone who has been is raving about it (I'm glad they had a good time, of course 🤣).

I am very aware that it's unlikely...I told DD the same but that I'd 'look out' for tickets on the rare chance some become available ale. Just wanted to know how to do that.

And agree absolutely do not buy via social media posts regardless of how genuine you think they are. So so so many people have been scammed. If you are tempted don’t but if you must see a live video of their ticketmaster account tickets in their screen and pay only by PayPal goods and services on credit card. But I still wouldn’t!!

sleepfortheweek · 25/06/2024 07:08

Thanks you - these replies have been much more helpful!! I'll keep checking ticketmaster etc

agree. A lot of effort prep and research a year ago went into getting tickets !

People in real life would still be thinking there was something seriously wrong if a child is crying because they cant go to a gig - well, after the age of about 3 they would, but less likely to say that to a friend's face

tbf, if you had a child who cried because they were not going to a gig, then we would be unlikely to be friends anyway, as our whole set of priorities and values in life would be completely out of alignment.

I can't imagine any children I know behaving like that. or any parent friends of mine excusing it or saying 10 year olds don't have emotional regualtion.

I am a teacher. no 10 year old would behave like that at school, as they would know it was very babyish

SqueezedMiddleTummy · 25/06/2024 07:15

By the way don’t buy standing if you are looking at viagogo or stubhub. 14+ only even with an adult in most stadiums. Kids were turned away from Paris.
