Are sanitary bins disappearing?

Is this a thing now?! I've visited two UK holiday towns in the last few weeks.
Visited a campsite, cafe and a public loo which didn't have any sanitary bins. Had to wrap up the blood soaked pad, walk past the folk washing their hands and drop it into an open bin 🤢
I get places are trying to cut down on costs and save money but it's not terribly hygienic and a bit grim for whoever has to empty the bin. Hoping I've just been unlucky and it's not going to be one the norm!

Not something I've come across.

Good! Maybe I've just visited some rubbish places! 😅

There should be a bin on the toilet maybe not in the cubicle but by the sinks

A friend carries nappy sacks for this very purpose, which I thought was a good idea.

I was in a hospital today with no sanitary bins in the toilets. I also has to wrap it and carry around in my pocket until I found a suitable bin. Grim..

@runningonberocca it's grim isnt it. I did the same but then managed to forget it was in my bag until a good few hours later 🤢 Can't helping thinking it's going to encourage some people to just flush them away which will cost ££ to sort out late down the line.
