Booked tomorrow for a filling but I have such a sore throat
Feel slightly unwell
Tired and achy
My mouth hurts to even open it
I've waited two months for this appointment
It started 3 days ago and getting no better

Agree @tbstandsoff if 24 hours or less notice they have a charge of £100 which is often a lot more than the treatment would have been since they are NHS. They don't accept email but may take a voicemail over the weekend if the app is on the Monday. Awful, but I have to be grateful we are lucky enough to have a dentist!

NHS are not allowed to charge for missed or appointments cancelled at short notice

Thanks everyone I'm going to ring and hopefully reschedule
I'm feeling dreadful
Just walking to the bathroom and I feel exhausted
I hate the dentist the best of times so don't think it's a good idea

My DH had a bad cold last week, nose wouldn’t stop running and felt a bit rough. He rang dentist to explain thinking they would say don’t come in, but they said to come if he felt well enough. He cancelled, fortunately we pay monthly and didn’t have to pay, but he now needs to wait till August.

Tonsillitis is usually white spots at back of throat, yours looks very sore, but in my experience of DS having had tonsillitis quite a few times, this doesn’t look like it.

Picture not clear, but that's nowhere near the tonsils. The dentist will check for you if you do decide to go to the appointment

Rang the dentist and managed to change it for the 24th July so not too long of a wait really

Woke up this morning and lots of ulcers on back of throat and side of tongue
I'm assuming that's the stinging pain I have

thats good you changed the dentist appointment

HcbSS · 24/06/2024 09:41

Yes I would unless I felt too unwell to go and knew I didn’t have to pay a cancellation charge. If I would have to pay anything I would crack on.
