Have you ever told a crush about your feelings?

I'm married and I won't do anything with them but I just feel like I want them to know?
I won't tell them, I know it's wrong but I sort of fantasise about them knowing how much I care and think about them.

Anyone told? What happened?

Well my H didn't tell someone as far as I'm aware- but wrote it all down- all of which I found many years later stuffed in a drawer and he had forgotten about-and for me it utterly killed 'the special'

I would say we can all feel like this but unless you intend to do something about it or are single it don't givesshit about your partner - keep it strictly in your head.

Sensible

We have a good marriage. But it's been a long one, 27 years. I guess sometimes I just get restless. Never been unfaithful or told previous crushes.
I'd like not to have the crush.
I suppose a small part of me would love to hear them say they feel the same. But then never do anything about it.

I was married for 26 years to my late husband (died in 2016). I never had a crush on anyone except him, apart from one or two moments of mild and swiftly passing lust over an actor. Guess I'm boring!

I suppose it's the unattainability of this person? If they did say they felt the same I doubt either of you would realistically do nothing about it. It would open the secret door I think.

Imagine it. You say something and then.... What? Write down what could happen. Then chuck it in the bin. Your brain likes to fantasise.

I didn't have that conversation. We are still friends 20 years down the line He is married but lives abroad now. Looking back we are very similar personalities and it probably wouldn't have been a good idea to tell him. We'd have got fed up with each other quite quickly I suspect. I still see him a couple of times a year and I'm glad I never told him.

Had a dream about mine last night…
There was a sliding doors moment.
We could have shagged that night.
But, we didn’t. I think about it often.

I did. I then split with my husband and we are now married. It’s been 7 years.

What would you want them to do with that information?

It's a good question. I don't even know. Just wish they knew.

If I really think about it I imagine it would be quite awkward because in actual fact they probably don't feel the same way, which is good.

Good plan! I will try this, assuming it does not indulge me even further in my fantasy

Writing it down is a good idea - but not as a previous poster outlines in any way that could be found out.
