Quixk decision. Do I take the risk or stay at home doing chores?

I've been at parkrun this morning, chatting with the usual crowd over coffee. There's a man who occasionally sends me slightly flirtatious messages, but has never followed up IRL.

We were both heading home to do chores today, but it's a beautiful day here and I'd rather spend it doing pretty much anything else.

I was thinking of sending a message asking if he feels the same way and shall we go to the seaside for a couple of hours. An easy 30 min journey for us. We both have a very early start tomorrow, so it can be clear it's afternoon only, which is good, I think?

Or, if he wanted to he'd ask and I should just stay at home and get on with the jobs?

He's nice enough, I don't for a minute think he'll be the love of my life, but I'm not looking for that anyway.

I tossed a coin and that told me to do it, but I'm still being a chicken!

Well done for messaging. No harm in knowing.

He said he would have if he could and thanks for asking, but he doesn't mean that, does he?

He last text me one of his "friendly" messages yesterday, so he started it 🤣.

Oh yes, I won't be going there again. I suspect neither will he 😆

He might mean it. Some men are a bit slow on the uptake. Or he could be overthinking it. Either way it's definitely in his court.

No I think if he was in any way keen he would have jumped at the chance! I mean what were the chores that were so urgent? Collecting your dog from the vets after surgery, ok, clearing out the garage/going shopping/doing the weekly bills - nope.

I know, so what's with the flippin' messages?!
