Hopefully the link works!

The inside pics are of a different car, aren't they? The silver car through the windscreen has the same reg as the outside pics.

Errr... yes! Looks like it! How odd.

BaronessBomburst · 22/06/2024 00:08

Yep. That's the interior of the red one.
My guess is a dealer masquerading as a private seller and they've mixed the photos up.

QuestionableMouse · 22/06/2024 00:09

That's what I thought - so odd!

Be careful buying from Facebook. My partner bought a van and has received many parking fines and ULEZ charges which aren’t his. The joys of advertising online with the full number plate is anyone with the same make and model can get false plates, knowing that the vehicle will soon be changing hands and it can be very difficult to sort out.

Well, at least one of them is. Two of the pics show the driver's position. One has a mat that looks like it's made of rubber and the other (where you can see the FF15 number plate through the window) looks like a sort of spongy fibre. Also in that one the leather trim on the gear stick is missing or has collapsed, and for some reason the driver's door is open even though it's raining.

Maybe the owner has two similar cars (it's an ex-taxi, perhaps they often buy that model?) and wanted to show something that they couldn't photograph in the one that's for sale? It's a bit odd though.

Ratfinkstinkypink · 22/06/2024 00:18

It is two different cars, the mats are different in the in the last photo and the yellow thing hanging from the interior mirror has disappeared too. I don't think it's the interior of the red car though because the wing mirrors are still silver in the second to last photo and the last photo is taken from is behind the Skoda not in front of it.

@QuestionableMouse MOT history on gov.uk for Skoda shows

Date tested14 November 2023 PASS Mileage 291,341 miles!!

https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/results?registration=fp15jhh&checkRecalls=true

looks dodgy.

Oh God that's terrible.

My last car came from Facebook and I wish I'd never seen it because it also caused me no end of trouble.

It's an ex-taxi, so not an easy life. Avoid. As for the pics just click on the profile pic to see what else they're selling. They have another two cars up for sale/sold in last week, so are doing a bit of amateur trading, so have probably just got pics mixed up. They've tried to put a phone number on there too which FB blocks, so my guess would be they're using other half's account to advertise them through. Again, avoid.

I have cars of that price, and it can be a bit of a gamble at times. Use MOT history check online to see what fails are on there. Have a look at the seller too to try and get a feel of how 'dodgy' they look. Avoid driveway traders as they have more of an interest in punting the car on and will have already bought it cheaper.

QuestionableMouse · 22/06/2024 13:47

My feelings too!

It's also an insurance write off, have they declared that?

toomanydicksonthedancefloor1 · 22/06/2024 13:57

Looks like they've just added the wrong photos. My opinion is it's a motor trader trying to pass himself off as a private seller so as not to give a warranty. They're all over Autotrader. Would explain why they've photographed more than 1 vehicle.

toomanydicksonthedancefloor1 · 22/06/2024 13:58

Mileage also wrong as it had 190k miles in Nov 23 at MOT.

toomanydicksonthedancefloor1 · 22/06/2024 13:59

Sorry ignore message about mileage, read it wrong!

But no way would I buy this car.

toomanydicksonthedancefloor1 · 22/06/2024 14:03

Work at a motor dealers carrying out checks on vehicles before we purchase them. Please don't buy this, it looks to me like it has been clocked. It was written off in 2017 with 147k on it and then the mileage went down to 67k on the next MOT and went gradually up again.

It's been clocked, been a taxi and it's a write off. Wouldn't pay £100 for it.

No, it caught my attention but the dodgy pics put me off!

Thank you for checking it out!

Wouldn't take much to write it off..even that dent on the tailgate. It doesn't look a great buy though. I think the second interior photo was taken inside the owners new taxi, likely to buy same model
