That doesn't just recommend kegels! Thanks

Miss Lucy Allen at One Welbeck is great. Private though.

Have you done the kegals? If the physio recommended them it's probably because that's all you need. That's all my physio recommended because it's all I needed.

I don’t live in London but have you looked for a Mummy MOT physio? I had two prolapses and although they did recommend pelvic floor exercises, she also recommended diet changes, other exercises for strengthening feet, legs, back etc to support the pelvic floor. She also checked how I was doing my pelvic floor exercises so now they are effective.

@Livelaughlurgy I have been but only for 3 weeks so maybe I need more time?

I'd ring the original one and ask her when should you be seeing changes and ask her for more detail on how often to do the Kegals. It does take time it's like any muscle healing and building up strength- I wouldn't dismiss her off the bat for saying just kegals.

But at the same time if she's not filling you with confidence and you can afford it you might be better off just getting a second opinion for your own peace of mind. But they'll probably recommend Kegals, and as pp said a few dietary tweaks, depending on where the prolapse is supplements etc

My physio said start lying down doing Kegals, then progress to sitting and then standing and that took me a fair few weeks. At least 6, and then I went back to her to check my progress and she said I could reduce the frequency at that stage- but mine was very mild. But I thought she was great and had full confidence in her which makes a difference

She checked my technique and said it was good. It's a mild cystocele (doesn't feel mild!) and she recommended doing them standing up from the start.

Claire Bourne is lovely. I saw her in central London for a general check up but she might see patients elsewhere
