To think it is amazing that even when drunk I think about safety.

Obviously it is good, but it makes me sad how ingrained it must be.

In Spain for a wedding, penultimate night last night and we all went out (out, out)

I'm in my own room, came back at 3am, didn't brush my teeth/take off makeup or even undress but I did barricade the door.

Does anyone else retain safety advice when drunk?

I'd worry about barricading the door in case of fire TBH.

🤔

Mrsjayy · 18/06/2024 08:38

Why did you barricade the door I think the lock was sufficient! That was probably fine in your drunk brain but it.was ott however .it is probably ingrained.

I’ve never barricaded a hotel door in my life! That’s incredibly dangerous 😳

Fouche · 18/06/2024 08:42

I just don't get drunk, that's a much easier way to stay 'safe' rather than drunkenly creating fire hazards in foreign countries because of pissed up paranoia

Interesting. I stay away frequently and I always block the door if I'm alone.

Hotel doors are easy to access, entrance by stranger is much more of a statistical risk than fire.

No because it is less brain use not to be drunk enough to worry about the being drunk/safety thing

Mrsjayy · 18/06/2024 08:45

What did you barricade it with ? Unless it was a ginormous wardrobe if some man wanted it they would regardless.
