If you were driving from where the red arrow is towards the roundabout, and going straight ahead to where the green arrow is, which lane should you be in?

Context is that I had a collision on this roundabout over 2 years ago, still hasn't been resolved and is now likely to go to court! Other driver claiming they were in correct lane, I believe I was...

Great news well done for holding your nerve!

Left lane. We have a very similar roundabout close to our house. The number of times drivers approaching the roundabout from the left (on your diagram) pull out while I'm literally on the roundabout in the left lane , going straight on, is insane - then they beep their horn as if I'm in the wrong.

Apologies, thought this was a new thread - will read it properly now. Ahem.

either left or right is okay for straight on.

if in the right hand lane be aware of being cut up by idiots turning right who are in the wrong lane.

Highway code shows you can use either lane for straight ahead.

Looking at that roundabout pic either lane can be used but the left lane has to filter into the right lane. Left lane is mostly used and correct but if there’s 2 lanes you can go ahead in the right hand lane

I'd always use left hand lane if the exit lane is before 12 on the clock and unless there were road markings indicating otherwise.
