Chessington or Legoland annual pass

My DD will be 3 next month and we're thinking of getting her an annual pass for either Chessington or Legoland for her birthday (you can get termtime/weekday ones for an under 4 plus adult for £59 - I don't work mondays so can take her then). But I'm having a hard time deciding which one to go for... we live just outside Rickmansworth so Legoland is much closer, but Chessington has gruffalo and room on the broom rides, plus the zoo and sea life centre... but that stretch of the m25 can be a nightmare.

It looks like they both have stuff she can go on, but are the rides in Chessington really suitable for that age, or just safefor those over 90cm?

Any thoughts?

I’d go for legoland if it’s closer and easier - it’ll make your life much easier and it’s a great place. Loads for younger ones and it’s great for just playing, splash park in summer, big playground areas etc.

The other consideration is that we're ttc, so if I were to get pregnant would I still be able to go on the rides? Though the zoo and sealife centre would be more attractive then!

I think Legoland would be best.

It's closer to you, there's plenty for a 3 year old to do, Chessington is nice but, in my opinion, a bit neglected compared to Legoland.

Thanks both - that's helpful and probably the right call... I was just getting excited by all the extras 😆

Do legoland this year and Chessington next year? I’d think you’d be fine on quite a few of the legoland rides - not the faster ones but there are plenty of more gentle ones. Have you been to either place?

Unfortunately, she'll be starting school next September so can only do the one. I think PP's are right in that it's much closer and different routes to get there mean it's not as much of a mission.

I've not been to either recently, but we are planning to go to legoland in a few weeks with friends (at a weekend, so can't use the ticket), which is what gave me the idea. We have been to a couple of other theme parks with her though, and have taken her to various fairs so we know she liked going on rides.

We went to Chessington recently and it was really run down. Quite a few of the rides weren't working or had problems operating and the whole place wasn't particularly clean. Legoland on the other hand was fab
