I am feeling very demotivated and tired today but my to do list is overwhelming.
So I did this thing I saw doom scrolling on tik tok and I am actually being productive! So thought I'd share.
Basically I brain dumped, by voice all of my to do list like I need to tidy the kitchen it's gonna take about an hour if I include cleaning out the fridge plus this and this and this... Make me a schedule to get it all done given I need to do three loads of laundry but I can put it on and it takes an hour but I can do stuff whilst it's washing. Not particularly coherent!
And it did!
So then to to keep myself motivated I said tell me the timings in a list so I can set reminders in my Google tasks and it summarized them.
I ended up not taking as long as I thought with some stuff so I said right I've done x y and z, update my schedule. (I didn't bother faffing to reorder my tasks though) Or I saw something else and just said add this to my schedule.

So brilliant!
What else can I use it for??

Edit. I have used it to make social media posts for work as well but feel like I am missing out on uses!

That's good, I might try that.

I use it to try and make what I write in birthday cards a bit more interesting!.

I also used it to write explaining why we needed increased funding for an organisation I do some volunteering with. My reason was basically costs are increasing, and it wrote me a fairly interesting half page.

I am shit with words so birthday card wording is genius!

I use it to write letters to clients at work. I always change them a lot but it can be helpful if I'm having a mind blank and need something to get me started.

I tend to use co-pilot rather than chat gtp but I think they are pretty much the same.
I use it to compose letters, cover letters for jobs.

When I am at work if I want to write something but I can't think of a way to put it eloquently then I waffle to it and it writes a nice succinct paragraph for me. I have also used it for SM items at work, especially where time is tight and I need to use the information from say a blog or a website and write it from my own perspective, I just ask co-pilot to reword it. I have dyslexia so it is a massive help!

At home I have used it for recipes if I have random left over ingredients in the fridge and no idea what to cook - I just ask it.

It has so many uses. But I had never thought of using it for creating a schedule. I love that!

I’ve never used any of them! Not a clue how to and don’t know how it would improve my life really. Work wise even if it helped me speed up - I’m not paid per amount of work completed and it’s a never ending job on the whole so I’d just be speeding up to get on to the next job which isn’t massively time sensitive. Now if it could actually finish all my work for me…

I actually don’t use ChatGPT. I find it’s not quite fit for my needs. For writing my blog, I prefer using Texta. I appreciate how Texta helps me draft content quickly, allowing me to focus more on the creative aspects of blogging rather than getting bogged down in the nitty-gritty of writing.

I don't know if others are into writing, but here's a list of other AI writing tools: https://writingtools.co.uk/pricing.html

This all sounds like outsourcing human brains and I find it really disturbing. Will we all end up less able to think and communicate and how will talent or endeavour ever be rewarded if this programme does it equally well for everyone?
I know we all use various “tools” to make life easier to some degree but chatgpt is a step too far for me.
