Really angry with myself ! My daughter had a new hoodie , I washed it and was folding it and the end of the hood hit the top of my wax holder and got wax on it! I didn’t know what to straight away , I probably should have re washed it but I had a wash in and now it’s dried on ! Can I save it ??

Have you tried putting kitchen towel over the waxy area and ironing it? I think that's what my mum did once when I got wax on something!

Put it in the freezer and the wax should snap off once frozen.

(I'm sure a more domestic goddess type will come along with a more confident answer soon)

Old fashioned brown paper. Warm iron. Gently press iron on brown paper over the area, moving the brown paper across to a fresh but as it soaks up the wax.

I fear it will depend on the colour of the wax, but you should be able to remove most of it. Firstly freeze the hoodie and then chip as much off as possible. Then iron it between brown paper or kitchen roll. This will absorb the melted wax. You have to keep changing the paper as it gets soaked in wax. Keep doing it until the paper is clean. It takes ages but can be done.

No, not greaseproof paper! You need something that will.absorb the wax.

With greaseproof paper, it will just spread it over a larger area.

Parchment paper not greaseproof!
