Why does Tom Jones look younger than Cliff Richard at 84?

Cliff Richard is the same age but looks a lot older even though he colours his hair and Tom doesn't.

Cliff was in Hertfordshire, wasn't he?
I met him at an event, years ago now.
I'd never seen a man so thin. He had a very small frame, bit he seemed very fragile. Nice enough, friendly, but not one to hold eye contact.

Cliff is being dessicated by the toxins of his own self-made internal closet of skeletons, all rattling away over the decades. Tom always wore his perceived "sins" much more, ah, on his sleeve?! 😅

Cliff is definitely of Anglo-Indian descent. That’s reasonably well known, through at least one of his grandmothers I believe.

I might have invented this btw - apologies if I have. I’m sure I read he has a stoma. My Dsis has one of these too and she has colitis so it might all be mixed up in my mind with that.

I watched the end of the Tom Jones thing last night, he actually looks better now than in the 80s. I suspect “work” in that period and now he’s not, so maybe the skin has filled out a bit. Also dying his hair jet black was not a good look.
Anyway, he did some absolute bangers when he had his renaissance in the 80s and 90s and his return to his roots recently has been excellent.

Cliff Richard’s hair ages him. He should stop colouring it and go for a much shorter cut and he would look younger.

I don't think his tan helps either I'm not sure if its bottle or not but he's mahogany.

I'm sure some of the difference is sun damage, doesn't Cliff live in the Caribbean, or did live in the Caribbean for a long time?

His Wikipedia entry just says a great grandmother was half Welsh and half Spanish. I'm guessing, because he came to fame during a period of more overt racism, his great grandmother's heritage was emphasised to explain his darker looks.

Tom's got a moon face because he carries a bit more timber. Cliff is on the scrawny side of slender. It comes to us all: face versus figure.

Patrick Stewart is only about a year younger and looks better than both IMO
