A bit sad

Most evenings for the past couple of months we have been entertained by the fox cubs playing in our garden. A couple of days ago, early in the morning, I found a dead cub in the corner of the garden, near the gap where they came in. Don't know if he did the right thing, DH dug a deep hole and buried it, covering the area with a large piece of metal mesh. The cub is buried next to our cat who died a couple of years ago.

That's all.

While you can bury dead pets in your garden (as you should hopefully know they had no infectious disease), I think wild animals are considered hazardous waste and should not be buried. They should be carefully double bagged without touching and your council contacted to advise on correct disposal.

I googled it after he done the burial - double bagged and in the wheelie bin. On my council site it says call a disposal firm, had a look - the charge is £200 to take it away.

You can dig it back up?
