I'm not expecting a miracle . I know I will need it surgically done at some time, but right now that's not doable as need to be able to drive

It's only on 1 foot. NEVER worn heels. I have hypermobility which is what a podiatrist years ago said was the cause as my foot rolls over.

They previously made a rubber thing to go between toes but it hurt to walk with it and gave blisters.

I have attached a pic although i have socks on you can see how it's just 1 foot.

Most footwear except sketchers hurt. I got boots in an EEE width and even they rubbed.

My husband had a bunion and tried quite a few of these things before having surgery. They were painful, ineffective and mostly expensive! Sorry if that's now what you wanted to hear. He had complex surgery due to other issues but it's the best thing he's ever done. 6 weeks recovery was not easy but no pain now and can wear any shoes he likes.

Thank you for being honest. Surgery won't be possible for at least 5 years due to school distance needing to drive and dcs being a bit more dependent.

Oh I completely understand my DH had been putting it off for a long time for various reasons and I can't pretend driving him to work and back for 6 weeks was fun! He was very unrealistic about the recovery time and it was no walk in the park. However, he had a hammer toe correction also which meant he had a pin for 6 weeks that complicated matters.
The actual bunion surgery was pretty straightforward, my only advice would be to make sure a proper orthopaedic surgeon does the operation as my mil had keyhole surgery done by an advance podiatrist with not so great results.
