Is Laderach chocolate worth the money?

It looks good but it’s so expensive. I don’t mind paying for it if you really can taste the difference. I wondered if any Mumsnetters have tried it. TIA

I drink cacao ( pure unprocessed cacao bean) so anything beyond that tastes shit.

Don’t waste money on thinks that have sugars, additives and all sorts put in as you might as well by Galaxy.

Come over to the dark side and you’ll never go back 😁

Fully aware of typos - not got my specs on 🤓

I have been given some as a gift from work
before and it was really good, but like expensive wine I didn’t feel it was worth the extra ££!

Yes, but only the really fresh slabs and truffles you buy in Switzerland. I don't think I'd buy it in the UK

SneezedToothOut · 05/06/2024 16:46

Nope.

I‘m a chocolate snob (like 85-100% dark chocolate only) and Aldi’s Moser Roth is way better.

rooinspace · 05/06/2024 16:47

I’ve seen it on Too Good to Go before, so if you’re nearby and want to try it at a lower cost - that’s a good option! I like it and think it’s worth the money

myladybelle · 05/06/2024 16:47

Yes imo. So so good.

I'd rather have galaxy than posh chocolate, or cack, personally. At least if I'm wrecking my days calories I'm doing it for something tasty.

Iwilladmit · 05/06/2024 16:52

Nope! I’d rather have dairy milk

therealcookiemonster · 05/06/2024 16:53

definitely worth the money. I love laderach

It’s not posh it’s just raw chocolate. Full of magnesium and oestrogen. Very good for menopause. 🥴

LifeInTheRaw · 05/06/2024 18:00

Totallynotstressing...
As you might guess from my user name, I am interested in raw nutrition.
I've got some cacao in my cupboard and have used it as part of the total amount of ingredients in a smoothie, but would love to hear what YOU do with it and how...
Magnesium is recommended to go with Thiamine (Vit B1) so even more interested.
Op... my apologies for using your post to pose my question..

I was given a gift at Christmas from a friend visiting from Switzerland. It was excellent but not sure I can justify £60 for a small box!

I'd consider buying it again as a birthday treat for myself but definitely not more than once a year at those prices!

Glittertwins · 05/06/2024 18:21

I love it but don't buy it very often. Definitely going to get myself some hazlenut slab next time I'm in London though.

eurochick · 06/06/2024 09:56

I was given some as a thank you. I had no idea it was so expensive! It was fine but not amazing.

I was given the slabs as a gift, they were really good but I would never pay that for chocolate.
